Exchange Forum Rules
These rules are a subset of the Forum Rules. All Forum Rules apply to all exchange threads.

Usage: Exchange Forum is to be used only for buying, selling and trading in-game and cash shop items.

Account Sales: Buying/Selling/Trading of Accounts is not permitted per Flyff Terms of Service. Anyone found doing so may face a ban on all accounts.

Currency: Items may be bought, sold or traded for penya and other in game items ONLY. No other means of purchase or sale is permitted. This includes real world cash as well as currencies and/or items from other games.

Off-Topic: Off Topic threads will be locked/deleted without warning, at the discretion of the moderators.

All Caps: Posting in CAPITAL LETTERS (either full or partial) may get your thread edited or locked, at moderator's discretion. This is like shouting on the Internet, and is generally considered rude.

Strange Characters: Do not use more than two consecutive non-word characters in your thread title to make it stand out. Moderators may edit your thread title to remove excessive characters or simply lock the thread at their discretion. (Example: .:Joe Blow's Guardian Sale:. versus ~~$~~CS~~$~~ A> Naughty Ghost ~~!@!~~)

Bumping: Excessive bumping of threads may get your thread locked. Bumping your thread is only allowed once every 24 hours. A bump may include, but is not limited to:
  • Any spam post by the original poster designed to bump the thread. This includes bump, bring up my post, and any other such spam.
  • Update posts by the original poster. You may edit your thread as often as you wish but update posts DO count towards your bump.
  • Any answer to another poster's question about the items in the original post will count as a bump. However, you may answer any VALID question as long as you do not bump less than 24 hours afterwards.
  • A friend posting a bump in your thread can and will be counted as a bump. Your next bump must come at least 24 hours later.
  • Any alternate account on the IP of the original poster will be considered to belong to that poster. Excessive bumping by alternate accounts may result in an IP ban. (See Alternate Accounts, below.)

Multiple Threads: Do not make multiple threads for multiple items. One thread is sufficient for all buying, selling, trading and auctioning. If you want to remake or redo a thread, or if your item sells and you no longer need the thread, please edit the title of your current thread as CLOSED or LOCK in caps so that the moderators may lock that thread for you. You may also use the report button to alert a moderator. Once you have closed one thread, you may then open another.

Alternate Accounts: Posters who use alternate accounts to drive up the price of items in his or her own auction risk having the thread locked and possibly an IP ban. Remember that any alternate account on the IP of the original poster will be considered to belong to that poster. Repeat offenders may be banned from the forums permanently. This also applies to bumping threads and creating multiple threads; if the IP shows multiple alternate accounts, those accounts are considered to belong to one person and will be treated as if that one person bumped threads and/or opened multiple exchange topics. Consequences will follow.

Locked or Moved Threads: You may not always receive an explanation as to why your thread was closed or moved. Refer back to these rules. Feel free to remake the thread, making sure it follows all rules outlined above. If you feel your thread was closed in error, please PM the moderator who closed the thread for an explanation, or use the report button to get the attention of any available moderator. Please note that this does not guarantee your thread will be unlocked; it will only provide you with an explanation of the lock. In extreme cases, you may email flyff_community@gala-net.com to contact the Community Manager.

Tips

1. Include in the title what you are buying, selling, auctioning or trading, so people have a better idea of what to expect in your thread.

2. You may wish to include keywords in your first post so that people using the search function can find your thread more easily. (e.g. Gknuck, Guardian Knuckle, G Knuckle).

3. Always double-check your trade. Take the extra few seconds to make sure it is correct. All trades are deemed voluntary.

4. Update your original post with current offers or any changes to items available/requested. Also, as items sell, mark them as being sold or take them out of the thread entirely.

5. If you find you are not getting anyone interested what you're offering, you may want to rethink your price/offer and make adjustments or try again later.

6. Whenever possible leave YOUR in-game name and play times in your thread to make it easier for potential buyers/sellers to coordinate purchase times.

7. Generally a post is best written as:

Code: Select all
   Title: A> Guardian Knuckle+10
Subject: Guardian Knuckle +10 (no element)
                 s/b: 800m
                 c/o: none
                 a/w: 2.1b

Title Definitions:

Use the following in your topic to make browsing for items easier for potential customers.

A> Auction: Defined as allowing people to bid on your items, generally you start off with a starting bid (s/b), list a Auto Win (a/w) and update with current offers (c/o)
S> Selling: Defined as selling items with a fixed value with no auctioning required. Generally you will leave your In-Game Name (IGN) and play times so a buyer can locate you.
B> Buying: Used when you are looking for a specific item for purchase. Generally you will leave your In-Game Name (IGN) and play times so a buyer can locate you.
T> Trading: Used when you you wish to trade one item for another. Keep in mind there are not always others willing to trade for your item.
