Weekly Screenshot Contest: The Life of a Pick-up/Buff Pet!

Greetings Flyffers and welcome to the latest installment of the Weekly Screenshot Forum Contest!

Apologies for skipping last week; it was crazy trying to handle the events, the weekly routine of stuffs, and the new influx of Flyff Gold material that we're having to prep for launch!

Anyways, winners from the last theme have already been announced and PMd, so we'll cut to the chase and get to this cutesy wutesy theme!

The title of the contest should already give you an idea of what we're looking for, but to be clear, what we'd like to see is a 2-4 paneled comic that depicts and illustrates, well, the life of a Pick-up Pet or Buff Pet. We'd like for you all to elaborate on the glorious or inglorious task of being bonded to a Flyffer! Ideas you can use as guidelines include: how pick-up/buff pets interact with each other; how they interact with their masters (are they like Bryan from Family Guy or do humans not understand what they're saying...); what sorts of adventures they enjoy, what sorts of experiences in Madrigal terrify them, how they grow as pets, and so on. There's a multitude of creative ways you can go about this. I'd recommend checking out some Pixar movies or Pokemon...

The prize for this week is none other than the winner's choice of a Little Lykan or a Big Red Buff Pet. Winners will also receive 3 Bead Slot Keys with their chosen pet.

We hope you enjoy the theme, it's a cute one , and as always, be creative, think out of the box, and have fun!

Standard rules for the contest are as follows:

• The contest will be weekly, have a theme, and will run 7 days, from Monday to Monday of the following week. In other words, valid entries will be taken from Monday when the contest is posted up until 12:01:00 AM PST of Monday that following week.
• All entries must be an in game screenshot, and must be posted in this thread.
• Entries must relate to the designated theme, and the winning screenshot will be the one that personifies the theme well.
• Entries may be framed.
• Multiple entries are fine, but a person may only win once per week.
• Comic entries may only utilize up to 4 screenshots.
• If the contest theme for the week allows for comics, please include links to the original screenshots. Furthermore, comics may be "snapped together" or put together in an image editor.
• In your original screenshot, the date and time stamp MUST be visible! Furthermore, the screenshot/entry must be taken during the week of the contest.
• While image cropping is fine (if you are cropping your image, be sure to include your original screenshot with the date and time stamp in it), unless otherwise stated in the weekly theme, photoshopping or picture doctoring is not allowed. Image doctoring refers to but is not limited to: using light filters, inserting elements or images that were not part of the original screenshot, repositioning of characters, shadows, and or objects, adding effect touch ups such as highlights, motion blurs, negative coloring etc.
• Image resizing, or zooming in on a portion of an image or cropped image, is fine and will be allowed.
  Rotating a picture, or moving it in a certain angle without actually manipulating the actual image is also fine and will be allowed. However, "image flipping" or "image mirroring" will not be allowed and indeed is considered doctoring.
• The GMs will judge every single entry and will pick one or more winners on the following Monday of the following week.
• The theme will change weekly as will the prizes.

• Finally, please keep all entries PG-13 -.-

First page great idea for this time to get making never made a comic before though would you guys say ms paint would work?

I've got an idea already, too. xD

And yeah, paint will work if it's all you have. I usually use paint or GIMP. All you really need is something that lets you make text boxes & lines, and maybe basic shapes like ovals.

yup, you should be able to work something out with paint.
It isn't the best program to do these things do.

I personally use photoshop to do my entries.
But gimp is pretty good aswell. It's basicly a free photoshop equivalent

it probably has to do with the fact that everybody is to busy logging for this event.
And the reward isn't that bad. Sure most people already have buffpets. But the "big red" is somewhat rare
