Glaphan Record Book (new records 08/13/2010)

Welcome to the Glaphan Record Book

Here's the general rules for posting records:

• Screenies or it didn't happen. You can say you have the highest asal, but unless you have a screenie to back yourself up, it's not valid.
• Link attack, meds, etc can be used. Basically anything goes as long as you have pictures
• Time records should be done with fraps, or otherwise proven in some method.
• Regarding Buff Timers: I don't like seconds, seriously. If you're going to going to beat the records - I'd like screenshots of the buff info - with the minutes displayed and such like THIS.
• Largest Pet Stats Including Awakenings
• Largest Single Stat Items (ie. Sickest Awakenings) May Include Piercings and Stats For Total Cumulative Stat.
• Party Points Stacked Records must include Party Window to prove you are the party leader.
• Vagrant+First Class Records: You MUST show some evidence that your character is a Vagrant (not a level 15 that just did the job change) or a first class (not a level 60 after the job change). Either press H and go to the first tab, or the party menu. Basically this is just to avoid people trying to set records illegally
• For all new records (effective 08/03/2009) screenies must include proof of being from Glaphan server (ie. each photo must be a separate screenshot with Stat window or Messenger window opened showing Glaphan server.)

Post in Red will indicate a new record submitted in the last 30 days

if you wanna porve someone has that much adoch or whatever, then you should ask them ingame to show you their gear and you should screenie all parts, calculate it and post it.

Well, proving that, these items actually exist in our server. Prefer if each item was taken without any adjustments in any way (cropped/photoshopped) and in the screenshot, at least have 1 person who is famous in our server?

doesn't matter, the record isn't about the player, but about the record itself. Say for example a world record is set at say Rome. It isn't the swimmer that is the world record, but rather the time. Therefore in this situation the gear is the record, not the player. And there has never been any rules that you must use your own gear for a record so i can't see why it should start now...

After much discussion of how to prove % Additional Damage To Critical Hits the following explanation was necessary to add to the rules: "Cumulative awakes, such as % Additional Damage To Critical Hits must include proof of being from Glaphan server (ie. each photo must separate and be non edited ingame screenshot with stat window opened showing current server.)"

Personally I think you should extend the "server proof" validation to every screenshot/record, not just Crit Damage stuff.

This will have to be given some thought, of course this requirement would have to be "As of Date"
otherwise many current records would be tossed out.
