General Posting Tips [READ BEFORE POSTING!]

Read below for common problems that can't be solved using the FAQ, without that information helping you will be quite hard.

Remember to choose a sensible title for your thread. "Help" and those alike will more likely be ignored than something that actually describes what's happening.

When posting about a Bluescreen (BSOD)

It is not sufficient just to post you're getting a BSOD.
If your car is broken, you call the mechanic and tell him it's broken, but he can't see it and you won't describe your problems any further than "it's broken", he won't be able to help you either.

So if you're posting BSOD problems always include the error code and any driver mentioned.
For example at
Image
it would be everything below "Techincal Information".

Flyff closes without warning/after white screen/after Gameguard.

Post a HijackThis log and your error.txt. Either Gameguard closes itself because of some software, or Flyff has DirectX troubles.

"Game hack was found".

Post a HijackThis log. It's most likely some software of yours interferring with Gameguard.

Another hopefully helpful addition by kuroiii:

I'll like to add more information to this thread if thats ok with you

Please make sure that you have gone through our most common issues and resolutions in the [FAQ] READ HERE FIRST! COMMON ISSUES ANSWERED! and Software Guides section of the forums. Here you can find the answers to the latest issues.

When posting in the forums try and follow the rules below:

- Always search the forums first. You may find a thread with users that have the same issue. You may find the resolution, or there may be a known issue occuring that is causing this experience.

- When posting a topic try to make the subject as pertinent to the issue as possible. If you are getting an error, list the error message or state where you're having your issue, such as Game Hack Was found while playing or Flyff gets a white screen and crashes after a few seconds when I press start on the patcher.

- When you are listing your issue, try and give as much information as possible. Adding where your error or crash is occuring, what operating system you're using, what kind of anti-virus programs you use, a timeframe that you're having the issue, and possibly the steps that happened to produce it.

- Profanities get you nowhere, and are a good way to get your forum post edited, removed, or your account banned.

- When posting try and include your Dxdiag information.

To do this:
Code: Select all
Launching the DirectX Diagnostic Tool

Windows XP

1. Click on the Start button on your Windows Taskbar
2. Click on Run
3. Type 'dxdiag' in the text field
4. Click OK

If you have Windows Vista and do not see a Run option

1. Right-click on the Menu bar and select Properties
2. Click on the Start Menu tab
3. Click on the Customize button
4. In the upper window, scroll down until you see the Run command and click on the corresponding checkbox
5. Click OK
6. Go to Start (Windows button on the Windows Taskbar)
7. Click Run
8. Type 'dxdiag' in the text field and click OK
9. Saving your DxDiag report

If you have Windows 7

1. Press the Start Button
2. Type in 'dxdiag' in the search box
3. Click on 'dxdiag

You shoud now see a DirectX Diagnostic Tool window appear.

1. At the bottom of the window, click on Save All Information.
2. You will now be prompted to save your file.
3. Name your file and save it somewhere on your computer where it is easy for you to access like the desktop.

The saved file should, by default, be a plain text '.txt' file.

To post the results:

1. Copy the entire contents of the dxdiag.txt file (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C)
2. Paste the text into the forum post.
3. Highlight the text pasted from the dxdiag.txt file.
4. Click the Code button in the menu above.
5. Submit your post.
